Bridge Listing Input provides two main ways to create a new listing. First, you can search for a property and use imported public records data to pre-fill portions of a brand new listing. Second, you can copy another listing from any connected MLS system and use it as a basis for creating a new listing.
To search for properties, click on the New Listing button on the right-hand side of the Listing Dashboard toolbar. This will open the property search dialog and allow you to search for a property by APN, Tax ID or street address.
In either case, submitting a search will return a list of possible matches. Review the list carefully and select the property you wish to use. This will open a dialog that allows you to configure the new listing.
If the property search does not return any results, you'll see a different dialog that asks you to confirm the address and gives you the option to continue creating a listing with that specific address. Using this method will not pull in any public records data, so you'll have to provide all of the information yourself.
Copying a previous listing to start a new listing is also done by clicking on the New Listing button. In the property search dialog that appears, select MLS# and input the listing number of the listing you wish to copy. Bridge Listing Input will search your connected MLSs for the listing and return a list of possible matches. Select the best match from the list and proceed to the configuration screen to set options for the listing.
Once you've selected the correct property or the listing to import or copy, the listing configuration dialog will open. This screen will allow you to:
- Select the systems to which you will publish the listing;
- Select the property type;
- Select or confirm the listing agent and co-listing agent for the listing.
Once these selections have been made, click Create Listing and you will be forwarded to the Listing Input Form to start providing data for the listing.
